Here at Bessels Green we believe it’s a real privilege to have a thriving Children’s ministry.

Jesus is well-known to have highlighted the importance of children throughout his ministry: Matthew 18,1-3: ‘At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

We feel that it is important to nurture the children who attend our groups, providing them with the opportunities to understand the love that God has for them, and to begin to grow their own relationships with Him.  We have a ‘Safe To Grow’ policy, in which all our leaders and helpers are DBS-checked, so enabling the children to learn, develop and have fun in a safe environment.

Our main children’s activities take place on a Sunday morning in Powerhouse.  Powerhouse runs inline with the main church service and takes place in the back hall.

Also throughout the year there may be special one-off events for the children to take part in.  These may include the ‘In The Woods’ weekend away, the ‘Hallelujah Party’ for Halloween, and the Children’s Christmas Eve Service at Christmas.

We also run various groups and activities for Babies and Preschool Children, and Young People.
