BGBC Welcomes Andy Potter

Andy joins us from Winchmore Hill Baptist Church where he has been Minister since October 2005. Prior to this he served at Margate Baptist Church.  He is married to Sarah and they have four children.  Andy originally trained as a mathematician and spent many years involved in policy and planning work within the health and aviation sectors.  He trained at Spurgeon’s College and continues to serve there as an Open Learning Tutor.

In his spare time Andy enjoys watching live sport and live music.  He is a fourth generation supporter of Aldershot Town Football Club.  Despite a complete lack of musical ability he loves listening to music with a particular enthusiasm for Bruce Springsteen and Martyn Joseph.

Andy hopes to start with us in early May 2017.

Both options will take about an hour and afterwards we’ll meet back together back at BGBC for refreshments.

Faith and Football with Julian Speroni – 16/10

We are pleased to announce that the Crystal Palace Goalkeeper, Julian Speroni, will be joining us for our Afternoon Service at 4:30 where he will be talking about “Faith and Football”. Julian has played with Crystal Palace since 2004 and has been named their Player of the Year on four occasions.

Julian is also a committed Christian who came to faith as his football began. As his professional career developed, so has his faith in Jesus.

A great chance to hear about his life in Football and his life as a follower of Jesus.

“I’m not playing for myself, I’m playing to honour God”
