Powerhouse
10am Sundays, for 5-11 year olds.
While parents/carers are hopefully enjoying the adult service, the children aged 5-11 join us in Powerhouse. Generally, all the children in this age group meet in the rear hall just before the adult service starts at 10:00 a.m.
At the beginning, we introduce the day’s theme, sing some lively/child-friendly worship songs (mostly with actions) and take the Powerhouse collection, the money from which generally goes to a child-friendly charity known to us.
There will be a Bible story (we use Youth for Christ materials) and some fun activities and games related to the Bible story. There’s nearly always something to bring home to adorn their bedroom or your fridge!
On the second Sunday of the month, all the children meet in the main church service for the first 10-15 minutes to give them and the adult congregation time together.
We aim to teach the children in our care Bible stories, themes, Christian values and beliefs in a safe, friendly and often messy way!
