Going Live Fundraising Event

Events include:
- Pie the Youth member/leader – £2 a go
- Guess the number of sweets in the jar – £1 a guess
- Cake stall – if you are able to bake a cake for the stall please bring it with you on the 1st May
- Toy stall – donations of fully working/good quality toys that are no longer used would be gratefully received!
- Wall of Money – 200 envelopes with amounts ranging from £1-£200 – choose how much you’d like to donate to the ‘Kitchen Fund’ (see below). Please remove your chosen envelope from the wall, fill it with the required sum and then hand it back to Josh Amott or Neil Hudson.
On Sunday 1st May, Going Live are hosting a fun-tastic fundraising event to raise money for their ‘Kitchen Fund’. The events look awesome, the weather will (hopefully) be great, but what is the ‘Kitchen Fund’?
Just over a year ago Going Live realised they had a big problem…too many young people for the room they were using! Whilst this is one of the best problems to have, it did need addressing. At Christmas time, the group moved into the Old Manse room (now the ‘Youth Lounge’). The majority of the room was redecorated for this momentous move, and new furniture added. Going Live love their new room…except for one bit – the old kitchen! It’s dated and tired, and just doesn’t fit with the atmosphere of the rest of the room – hence the reason for the ‘Kitchen Fund’.
Going Live are now working hard to raise money for the ‘Kitchen Fund’ so that they can replace the dated 80’s kitchen and the flooring. In the next few weeks they are launching a new mid-week youth group, to be held in the Youth Lounge. They would very much like to have their own kitchen area so that they can serve drinks and toasties etc. in a relaxed kitchen/breakfast bar type area. The Youth Room is already THE place for our young people to congregate and socialise after Sunday services, let’s help them extend the use of this room so that it becomes a space where they feel comfortable and are able to call their own.
