Giving 01

At BGBC we believe that everything we have is given to us from God, and that we are His stewards of what we have.  Our response, therefore, is to be as generous as we can with all we have.

Members of our congregation contribute to the life and work of our church in many different ways, both financially and through their time.

To find out more about financial giving, please read on.

Give Regularly – Standing Order

If you would like to give to the church on a regular basis, you can set up a standing order.  This is our preferred method for regular giving as it helps us plan and budget realistically.  To set up a standing order, please contact our Church Treasurer using the button below, who will be able to provide you with the relevant details, or you can find the Church bank details in the back of the Church Directory:

Give Regularly – Cash

Offerings are taken as part of our worship at our Sunday services.  Please put your gift in the offertory bag as it is passed to you.  If you pay UK tax, please use the giving envelopes available from the Welcome Team and complete the information on the front – this enables us to make your gift go further through Gift Aid.

Gift Aid – Tax Efficient Giving

If you pay UK tax, we can claim back tax on your gift to the church as long as you have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax being claimed by us.  This is a valuable source of income for the church as the government tops up the amount you give at no additional cost – so you get to give more for free!  To enable us to do this, please complete a Gift Aid form and return it to the Church Treasurer, or the Church Office.

Giving Your Time

In addition to financial giving, there are plenty of opportunities within Bessels Green Baptist Church to serve the church through the giving of your time.  To find out more about the ways you can volunteer your time, please visit our Giving Your Time page.
